Q: What services do you offer?

A: Orangerie Floral Design is a full-service event florist. We offer custom floral pieces for both weddings and largescale events. This includes the planning, set-up, delivery & take-down of all florals and décor that we have provided. We also provide once or twice weekly floral deliveries (for smaller arrangements and bouquets), as well as one-off deliveries, from the months of May – October, via Two Wheels Ahead bike courier in central Ottawa.

 

Q: Do you just do weddings?

A: No! We are happy to flower any type of corporate event or personal events such as anniversaries, wedding and baby showers, birthdays, and holiday parties. We have had the pleasure of working with many great companies including: West Jet, The Canadian Association of Law Libraries, The Youth Services Bureau, The Love, Handmade Wedding Show and many more!

 

Q: How much do your services cost?

A: Prices are dependent on the size, scale and floral requirements for your unique event. Florals for large scale events and weddings typically start at $1000.00.

 

Q: Where are you located?

A: We work out of a studio space in Hintonburg. We do not currently have a store front, but orders can be picked up at the studio or delivered anywhere in the city.

 

Q: How far in advance should I book my wedding florist?

A: The sooner you book; the better chance you have of securing your wedding date. Typically, couples book with us 8-10 months before their big day.

 

Q: What is the process for booking my wedding or event?

A: You can contact us through our contact form, and we will respond by sending you a questionnaire about your event, which helps us determine your vision, budget, and quantities of flowers needed. We then set up a free consultation in a neighbourhood of your choice to discuss the details of your event. This is a chance for us to get to know you and get a feel for how you envision your day. We then create a quote, which outlines your florals with a detailed price breakdown. We require a 20% deposit of the total amount before tax to secure your event date.

 

Q: How much should I budget for my wedding flowers?

A: There are many factors that will determine the cost of your wedding flowers, but on average, our weddings cost between $4000 - $5000. This price would include bridal party flowers, tabletop arrangements, and ceremony décor, plus delivery and set-up. Please note that any florals that require on-site set-up and take-down, such as a floral arch, or hanging/largescale installations will include an added cost for the additional time and labour necessary. We can also work with smaller budgets depending on requirements. All weddings are different, some weddings are as small as a bridal bouquet and a boutonniere, so no matter what your budget is – reach out to us and we can see what we can do for you!

 

Tip: According to The Knot you should plan to spend 8-12% of your entire wedding budget on your flowers.
